The events that got me here
2000
Penn State
I received my B.A. in Communications from Penn State Erie and started my journey. I did my internship and Chitester Creative Associates in McKean, PA. This is where I was introduced to web design.
2001
DJR Interactive + LCBA
I got my first professional job as a multimedia associate at LCBA. I also started my first freelance design company called DJR interactive.
2006
LCBA
I became the Multimedia Supervisor for LCBA. I oversaw 2 Multimedia Associates and added publication design and many other responsibilities.
2007
Joomla!
I discovered the Content Management System (CMS) Joomla. After examining competitors I ultimately began development using Joomla.
2009
Pixel Point Creative
I co-founded Pixel Point Creative and we began selling Joomla templates and extensions.
2011
Pixel Point Creative
I left my position at LCBA to co-manage Pixel Point Creative full time. We began building sites in WordPress and Joomla!
2014
Pixel Point Creative
I acquired 100% ownership of Pixel Point Creative and launched version 4 of the website.
2015
Engage IT
Pixel Point Creative acquired EngageIT. EngageIT (formerly SurfErie) was a local ISP, hosting and technology company founded in 1999.
2018
Phase 3 Properties
Phase 3 Properties LLC (P3P) was founded. P3P buys, sells and renovates properties in the Erie area.
2019
WeCreate
I sold Pixel Point Creatives’ hosting and custom design clients to weCreate LLC. I began freelancing for several companies. The COVID-19 pandemic opened many opportunities as businesses began shifting focus online.
2023
SurgeTrader
I was the Digital Operations Manager for SurgeTrader. SurgeTrader is a prop trading company that accelerates trader funding by helping profitable traders capitalize on their success.
2025
Pixel Point Creative
I launched version 5 of the website and introduced AI powered chatbots.

My Work
Hey Buddy. Thanks for checking out my work. With over 20 years of experience, I have wore a lot of different hats. From 2009 till 2016, I built over 60 Joomla templates for my company, Pixel Point Creative. Most of these were built on Warp 7 by Yootheme. This framework was replaced with Yootheme Pro and in 2021 Yootheme retired all Warp 7 themes. I am doing the same but wanted to showcase a sample of my designs. Enjoy!
